Every object begins its life with purpose. But too often, that life ends too fast, replaced by something new before its story has even started.

"Reuse" is a concept that challenges this rhythm. It asks us to pause, to see what is already here, and to imagine what more it could become.

In design, re-using isn’t only about patching things up. It’s about shaping materials and products so their value doesn’t fade after a single purpose. Imagine a chair designed with replaceable legs, packaging that folds into storage, or a dress stitched to be unpicked and reassembled. Most object would last a lifetime if only they were designed to age well. 

What makes reuse a powerful strategy is that it doesn’t rely on complicated systems. It thrives on creativity, on the willingness to reimagine. Designers can shine by making objects intuitive to repair, modular in form, or open to reinterpretation. Users extend the story of their objects when they decide to keep, adapt, or reinvent what’s in their hands.

Through reuse, the consumerism lowers its impact on the world's resources. Waste is limited, and what could have been discarded instead finds a second life.
